$100 Laptop

There is no doubt in the fact that the advance knowledge of science has played a great role in our society
specialy in educational field. Teaching methods & techniques are changing according to the requirement of 21st century.
To promote these advanced knowledge In educational field at root level,
UNO announced extremely low-cost Laptop computer project only in $100.
These initiatives was first announced by Kofi Anan and Negroponte in press confrence
He said,Any previous doubt that a very low cost laptop could be made for education in the developing world
has just gone away". The Lime-green Linux-based laptops will have wireless broadband,
allowing each one to operate with in a mesh network with other nearby. The OLPC initiatives aim to provide low-cost laptop computers to children in developing nations.
This is a technology that could revolutionize how we educate the world's children and to service in this new era. "Throught this project of OLPC,we can aware our children not only to close the digital divide but also to bridge the knowledge divide,said Quanta founder and chairman,Barry Lam Under developing countries have lack of resources and
this project will be useful to improve their modren forms of education. It is also good that OLPC will be distributed through government so that it can not be used unfair. Implimentation of this project will be hard target for UNO because
the cost of the laptop is not affordable for the poor students in under developing countries.
so the aim of this project i.e low-cost laptop for education could be failed.
One of the biggest advantage of this project is that in school ,
computer lab will not be necessary because every student will have their own laptop.
but the important point is that UNO need to send trained staff to give proper training
to the teachers that how to operate this laptop because most of the teachers don't aware
about Linux operating system so that UNO should make a proper syllabus for the successful
implimantation of this project in under developing countries. Another doubt is aries that how these laptop defeat other devices
which are provided in the market in the low price than $100. There is no point saying anything about the success
of this project because there are alot of questions and problems between
the announcement and implimentation of this project.
